How long does maple products last?

While maple syrup can sit in your pantry shelf for about 2 years while it's sealed. Once the bottle is open, it should be put in your refrigerator, there it can last another year.

The soft maple sugar candies have two different answers. If they are not crystallized (a process where the finished candies sit in a pool of higher sugar content syrup before being pulled out to dry, pictured in this post) they can last 3 weeks. If they are crystallized, they can last 3 months. If you dont eat these as soon as they are delivered, these soft candies should be kept in a cool, dark place.

The hard maple sugar suckers/lollipops can last 3 months. These should also be kept in a cool, dark place.
